To Our Valued Patients,

We would like to thank everyone thus far for their patience and understanding while we navigate through these difficult times. Please remember that the safety of everyone that enters this office, as well as the families they go home to, is our utmost priority. As we approach back-to-school/flu season it is important that we reiterate and reinforce the strict COVID related protocols we have in place. Compliance to our protocols is non-negotiable, and the only way we see possible to keep our patients and staff safe, and our doors open throughout this potential second wave of COVID.

Please read through all of these protocols, and if you have a specific question pertaining to your scheduled appointment please do not hesitate to call or email the office at frontdesk@somerssmiles.com

  • You will get a text two hours before your appointment. For children, a parent will receive the text message. If your appointment is before 9am, you will get a text the evening before. That being said we need all UPDATED cell phone numbers. We ask that you please DO NOT opt out of text messaging, as it is the most efficient way of communicating with our patients who have scheduled appointments.
  • When you arrive at our office, please WAIT in your vehicle and text back "HERE" when you have arrived. We will text back when it is safe to come in. We only allow one patient into the office at a time and wipe down all surfaces touched prior to allowing the next patient into our facility.

    Please be patient if we do not respond right away. It is NOT an automatic reply.
  • Please wear your mask when you come to the door. Patients will be asked to leave ALL belongings in the waiting area or their vehicle. Doors will be locked at all times.
  • If you tend to get cold easily, we encourage you to bring a sweater. For safety reasons, and due to current PPE standards, it tends to get cold in the treatment rooms.
  • Understand that we can only allow ONE PATIENT in the treatment area at a time. If your child is under the age of 14, ONE parent may accompany them if necessary. There is NO WAITING ROOM at the moment. This is for the safety of our staff as well as your family.
  • Be advised that to limit the amount of people that you come in contact with at our office, Dr. Ferranti will NOT be entering the treatment rooms for hygiene exams. A thorough examination will still be conducted and all pertinent findings will be documented and reviewed with Dr. Ferranti. All necessary x-rays will be reviewed, and you will be contacted by phone to schedule any necessary treatment. Should you have any questions or concerns that your hygienist is unable to help you with, both VIRTUAL EXAMS are available to you, as well as an in-person consultation upon request. Just make a member of our team aware that is how you would like to proceed and they will appoint you.
  • Lastly if you have traveled in the past 14 days to any area on the travel ban list, or feel even remotely under the weather, please reschedule your appointment for 2 weeks out.
